With crypto misinformation on the rise our #cryptok campaign with DappGambl went viral around the world. Securing the very best industry links this campaign uncovered just how much crypto content you can trust on TikTok. TLDR; not much.
THE BRIEF
DappGambl came to us with a relatively new site looking to gain brand awareness and earn media in their dream crypto publications. They had never been featured in top-tier Crypto news and this was essential to their organic growth strategy. They wanted to gain coverage and links in publications they had never been in before. Enter Bottled Imagination.
THE CONCEPT
With the #cryptok hashtag having millions of views on TikTok, we analysed over 1000 videos of popular crypto “influencers” to uncover the widespread misinformation and bad advice on the platform.
We built a landing page for our campaign to sit on, housing all the campaign findings which gave the journalist something to link back to.
The success of this campaign relied on the dataset being solid. There were no shortcuts here, no AI hacks, this was solid research where we manually watched every single video and tagged up the information to judge its validity and reliability.
This is why we knew it would work. We don’t do the first idea that comes into our head and the results of this campaign speak for itself.
